Servicing Financial Adviser / Planner Vacancy At our offices in Mudeford, Christchurch, BH23 4BA Get in touch We are currently recruiting for a Servicing Financial Adviser / Financial Planner Location: Christchurch, Dorset Salary: Up to £75,000, depending on experience Hours: Full-time or part-time considered, with flexible working hours Contract: Employed role The Role We are looking for a Financial Planner, also known as a Servicing Financial Adviser, to join our team at MFP Wealth Management in Christchurch, Dorset. This is an employed role providing holistic, independent lifestyle financial planning to an established portfolio of high-net-worth client families. Over time, you will take responsibility for delivering a high-touch financial planning service to approximately 50 client families. There is no sales target and no expectation to generate new business. Our firm continues to grow through reputation, recommendation and long-standing client relationships. This role is about quality, not quantity. We are looking for someone who genuinely values client relationships, thoughtful planning and exceptional service. As you settle into the role, you will work closely with our Managing Director, a Chartered Financial Planner, author and financial planning podcast host, learning our approach to lifestyle financial planning and client care. What We’re Looking For We would be delighted to hear from either: A technically strong Paraplanner who is ready to transition into an advisory role; or An experienced, service-focused Financial Adviser who wants to work in a relationship-led, client-focused environment. You will be warm, emotionally intelligent and service orientated, with the ability to understand clients’ financial needs, life goals and personal priorities. You will have strong technical knowledge across most areas of financial planning, including tax-efficient investment planning, pensions and retirement planning, protection and estate planning. You will be confident developing comprehensive lifetime financial planning strategies and providing proactive, ongoing advice to clients. You will also be someone who values best practice, embraces technology and wants to work in a firm where your own quality of life matters too. Key Responsibilities As our Financial Planner, you will: Provide holistic financial planning advice across investments, pensions, retirement planning, protection, tax planning and estate planning. Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, both in person and online. Analyse clients’ financial circumstances, needs and goals, and create tailored lifetime financial plans. Deliver proactive ongoing advice and exceptional service to a select portfolio of client families. Ensure all advice and client work meets compliance, legal, statutory and regulatory requirements. Maintain high professional standards and commit to ongoing professional development. Make effective use of technology, including cashflow planning tools, AI and CRM systems, to enhance the client experience and improve efficiency. Contribute ideas that help us continue to improve the way we serve clients. Skills And Experience We are looking for someone with: At least three years’ experience as a Paraplanner, Financial Planner or Financial Adviser. Diploma in Financial Planning, such as DipPFS Level 4 or equivalent. Experience across key areas of financial planning, including cashflow forecasting, tax-efficient investment planning, pensions, retirement planning, protection and estate planning. Chartered status, or a genuine desire to work towards becoming Chartered or Certified. Support and funding will be provided. A strong client-service mindset and a caring, relationship-led approach. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills. Emotional intelligence, warmth and the ability to build trust with clients. Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail. A proactive, motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Confidence using technology and an interest in helping us improve systems and processes.
