As a full-time chef, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality dishes, leading the kitchen team, and ensuring that all food safety and production standards are met. Duties And Responsibilities Menu Preparation & Execution: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes (meats, fish, pastas, side dishes, garnishes) according to recipes, ensuring quality, consistency, and proper portion control. Team Leadership & Training: Supervise kitchen staff, manage prep lists, and provide training to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to standards. Food Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, ensure proper food handling, temperature control, and compliance with food safety regulations. Menu Planning & Development: Collaborate with management to plan, modify, and execute menus based on client and airline requirements, including special menus for presentations. Equipment & Maintenance Oversight: Ensure all kitchen equipment is functional, clean, and in good working order; report any maintenance needs or unsafe conditions. Quality Control & Record Keeping: Monitor food quality through tasting and temperature checks and maintain food production records to track inventory and meet service standards. Effective Communication: Coordinate with kitchen and service staff, ensuring smooth communication and timely service delivery while adhering to company standards and safety protocols. Qualifications Diploma in culinary arts or equivalent training Mandatory proven experience in a similar position in a Restaurant or a Catering environment Strong mastery of culinary techniques and quality standards Experience with Halal, Middle Eastern, Indian Cuisine is a strong asset Good knowledge of HACCP is an asset (training will be provided) Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment Consistent attendance, punctuality, attention to detail, and reliability Demonstrated experience in supervising, coaching, and developing kitchen teams Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with team members and management.
