About The Role The Chef de Partie supports the Resort Chef by preparing menu items, maintaining high culinary and sanitation standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The role includes managing mise en place, assisting with staff food programs, anticipating service needs, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare menu items quickly and efficiently following standard recipes. Set up and stock stations with required supplies. Prepare ingredients for service and future use. Follow instructions from the Resort Chef and assist with supervising Line Cooks and Prep Cooks. Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen (cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, dishwashing). Apply FIFO methods and properly label, date, and store food items. Maintain high standards in food quality, presentation, and sanitation (VIHA compliance). Help reduce waste and meet food cost targets. Communicate anticipated issues to supervisors. Uphold professional conduct, uniform standards, and complete all duties before ending each shift. Qualifications Required Legally entitled to work in Canada High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years restaurant kitchen experience Ability to work with accuracy and speed under high pressure Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Food Safe Level 1 WHMIS certification Preferred Culinary Science degree or related certification OFA1 (Occupational First Aid Level 1) What We Expect From You Every employee plays a key role in creating a professional, welcoming, and solution-focused environment for our guests. Exigences
