What it’s like to be a Northbridge Risk Services Consultant, Property & Liability: The Risk Services Consultant is responsible for providing consulting services to customers as needed, partnering with them to review evaluation results, discuss compliance requirements, and recommend industry best practices to help improve their risk controls. Our Risk Services Consultants are passionate about loss exposure and trends; this means thoroughly identifying hazards and controls for risks through site assessments and customer interviews. Working both autonomously in the field as well as collaborating with Underwriting and Brokers, they develop best practices and are Subject Matter Experts. We want your talent! If you are great at: Critical Thinking and Investigating Building strong relationships and partnerships Demonstrating autonomy, managing both field and office work Being proactive and managing your own schedule If you have: Post-secondary education and/or industry-specific experience in engineering or engineering technology (fire protection, mechanical, electrical etc.). Minimum 5-8 years industry experience as a risk consultant or in a related insurance field. Working knowledge of NFPA standards and fire/building codes. Experience in property, liability and course of construction (COC) risks are an asset. Knowledge and understanding of risk and insurance management. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work in varying weather conditions, be outdoors and potentially be able to climb ladders. We really mean it when we say we put you first.
