REGISTERED NURSE (RN), EMERGENCY

We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model. The Registered Nurse – Emergency, working collaboratively with the interprofessional team, plans and provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care to clients with various complex health care issues, from non-urgent to life threatening, to patients in the Emergency department. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities. Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings, Nights, 07:00 to 19:15, 11:00 to 23:00, 19:00 to 07:15 (rotating)

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in the Emergency department, managing cases ranging from non-urgent to life-threatening. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and evaluating nursing care within a patient and family-centered model.

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse practicing in accordance with BCCNM standards and professional ethics. A specialized body of knowledge in nursing science and related fields is required.
