Job Description Nour Private Wealth (NPW) is seeking an experienced and client-focused Financial Planner to join our growing team. The Financial Planner will work closely with clients to understand their financial objectives and develop comprehensive, personalized strategies designed to help them build, preserve, and manage their wealth. The successful candidate will have strong financial planning expertise, excellent relationship-management skills, and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear and actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities Develop comprehensive financial plans based on each client's financial circumstances, objectives, priorities, and risk profile. Conduct detailed discovery meetings to understand clients' income, assets, liabilities, investments, cash flow, retirement objectives, estate considerations, insurance needs, and overall financial goals. Provide financial planning recommendations across areas including retirement planning, investment planning, tax planning, estate planning, insurance, cash-flow management, and risk management. Prepare financial projections, retirement scenarios, cash-flow analyses, and other financial planning analyses. Present financial plans and recommendations to clients in a clear, professional, and understandable manner. Conduct regular financial planning reviews and update strategies as clients' circumstances, objectives, or financial needs evolve. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients through proactive communication and ongoing financial guidance. Work collaboratively with Portfolio Managers, Investment Advisors, and other members of the NPW team to provide clients with coordinated wealth management solutions. Liaise with clients' accountants, lawyers, insurance professionals, and other external professionals, where appropriate, to support comprehensive wealth planning. Review existing client portfolios and financial arrangements to identify planning opportunities and areas requiring further analysis. Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and introduce appropriate services and solutions available through the firm. Support the development of new client relationships and participate in business development initiatives. Maintain complete and accurate client documentation, financial planning records, meeting notes, and required follow-up. Ensure financial planning activities and client documentation are completed in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and NPW's internal policies and procedures. Maintain current knowledge of financial planning strategies, taxation, retirement and estate planning considerations, investment markets, industry developments, and regulatory requirements. Maintain all applicable professional designations, registrations, and continuing education requirements. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline. CFP® designation required. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial planning, wealth management, investment management, banking, or financial services. Strong knowledge of Canadian financial planning principles, including retirement, tax, estate, investment, and insurance planning. Experience preparing and presenting comprehensive financial plans to clients. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex financial information and develop practical recommendations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills with a client-first approach. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple client relationships, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment. Proficiency with financial planning software, CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and related financial technology. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary wealth management team.
