The opportunity Lead the Way as a Senior ERP Functional Consultant This is a pivotal role where you will serve as a primary client advisor, driving strategic ERP initiatives from conception to completion. You will leverage your extensive Odoo expertise to architect sophisticated solutions, troubleshoot intricate challenges, and ensure seamless system adoption. As a Senior Consultant, you will not only deliver outstanding results for our clients but also play a key role in shaping our consulting practices and nurturing the next generation of ERP talent. Key Responsibilities What You'll Lead and Do Strategic Client Advisory & Solution Architecture Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through complex business transformations using Odoo ERP. Conduct comprehensive discovery sessions and in-depth business process analyses to identify critical pain points, strategic objectives, and opportunities for significant efficiency gains. Lead the design and architecture of highly customized and integrated Odoo solutions that align with client's long-term business strategy and industry best practices. Perform detailed gap analysis, recommending innovative solutions for complex business requirements. End-to-End Implementation Leadership Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of complex Odoo ERP implementations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Drive configuration, customization, testing, and deployment phases, collaborating closely with technical teams. Develop and execute comprehensive data migration strategies. Lead UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles, ensuring all business requirements are met. Expert Troubleshooting & Optimization Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for highly complex Odoo system issues, acting as an escalation point for challenging problems. Proactively identify areas for system optimization and continuous improvement post-implementation, ensuring ongoing client success and ROI. Team Leadership & Mentorship Mentor and guide junior and intermediate functional consultants, sharing knowledge and fostering their professional growth. Contribute to the development of best practices, methodologies, and consulting tools within OERP Canada. Potentially lead project teams, delegating tasks and ensuring cohesive execution. Documentation, Training & Knowledge Transfer Develop high-quality functional specifications, design documents, test plans, and comprehensive user manuals. Design and deliver advanced training programs for client stakeholders and end-users, ensuring strong user adoption and proficiency. Actively contribute to internal knowledge sharing initiatives. Pre-sales & Business Development Support Provide expert functional input and lead demonstrations during pre-sales activities for prospective clients. Collaborate with the sales team on solutioning, effort estimation, and proposal development for new opportunities. Qualifications & Skills What You'll Bring Minimum Requirements Educations Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ERP specific certifications) are a strong asset. Experience Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in ERP functional consulting, with a strong emphasis on full lifecycle implementations. At least 3 years of hands-on, expert-level functional experience and deep knowledge of Odoo ERP across multiple core modules (e.g., Manufacturing, Inventory, Sales, Purchase, Accounting, CRM, Project, POS, HR, Websites/eCommerce). Demonstrated experience in leading complex IT system implementation projects from discovery to post-go-live support. Proven ability to perform complex Odoo troubleshooting and provide strategic resolutions. Extensive project management experience, preferably with exposure to Agile methodologies. Deep understanding of diverse business processes across various industries (e.g., manufacturing, retail, services, distribution). Skills Exceptional Client Management & Communication Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and effectively manage client expectations and relationships at all levels. Strategic & Analytical Thinking Highly developed analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating complex business challenges into innovative and scalable ERP solutions. Leadership & Mentorship Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and mentor team members. Experience in leading workshops and client sessions. Proactive & Autonomous Highly self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities, and consistently deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability & Resilience Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, adapt to changing requirements, and maintain composure under pressure. Business Acumen Strong understanding of financial, operational, and strategic business drivers. Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience Odoo Certification Understanding of Python programming and Odoo's technical architecture.
