This role is responsible for conducting routine preventative maintenance, service, repair, and maintenance of plant and facilities equipment in a safe and efficient working manner. Maintaining the safety and reliability of machineries and equipment is critical in achieving optimal production efficiency of the plant operations and production. DAY TO DAY * Assemble, align, dismantle and position stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications. * Inspect, diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment. * Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery. * Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, feeler gauges etc. * Troubleshooting any issues with hydraulic systems. * Perform general facility maintenance. * Participate in fumigation/heat treatment. Note: working in higher temperatures is involved during fumigation. * Complete and comply with all health, safety and food safety training relating to the job. * Ability to complete fall arrest, forklift, telehandler, and scissor lift training. Candidates must be certified Millwrights or registered 3rd-year apprentices or higher with experience in welding and fabrication. The role requires physical capability to lift 25 kg and the ability to work in hot, dusty, and outdoor environments.
