Technical Writer - RFPs & Proposals Pathway Communications Markham. ON: On site. Full-time Pathway Communications, a leading Canadian managed IT and cybersecurity services provider is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to create, edit and submit compelling responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs. You'll turn RFP issuers’ technical and business requirements into clear, winning proposals across our managed services, cybersecurity, data centre, and technical support portfolio. This is an active and immediate opening. WHAT YOU WILL DO Review daily portal publications to identify suitable RFPs Work with engineering, security and operations experts to understand requirements Draft proposal content including executive summaries, solution descriptions, methodologies, timelines and supporting documentation Translate managed services and cybersecurity solutions into clear, client-facing language Build and maintain a library of reusable proposal content and templates Edit and proofread proposals to ensure that every response is complete, compliant and persuasive Support the creation of related content such as presentations and client-facing materials WHAT YOU BRING A minimum of three years drafting proposals or technical documentation, ideally for IT services or cybersecurity Excellent written and verbal English and a talent for making complex topics understandable Strong attention to detail and editing/proofreading ability Experience using style guides and creating impactful presentations Strong organization and the discipline to manage multiple bids under deadlines Working knowledge of basic IT managed services, cloud and security concepts. Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, IT, or a related field COMPENSATION $55,000–$70,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Candidates with substantially higher skills or more experience are encouraged to apply and may be considered for a more senior position based on merits.
