Peace River School Division is seeking a highly motivated Part-Time (0.60 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at Lloyd Garrison School to provide targeted literacy and numeracy support to small groups of students in Grades 1-5. The position will commence on August 27, 2026 and continue to June 29, 2027. Lloyd Garrison School is located in the town of Berwyn, approximately 11kms from the town of Grimshaw and (40 kms from Peace River. The school serves students from K to 12. Qualifications Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience Experience working directly with young children (Grades 1-3 preferred) Experience and understanding of foundational literacy and numeracy concepts (e.g. phonics, phonological awareness, early number sense) Skills Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers and district office Program Coordinators A strong desire to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work independently. The ability to work independently, manage small groups effectively, and follow structured intervention plans. High level of commitment, accountability, and reliability.
