Description We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team in Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, with at least three years of experience in estimating. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and competitive bids for various construction projects. The Estimator will analyze project plans, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare detailed cost estimates, collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements and scope. Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and information as needed. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and ensure compliance with all specifications. Analyze project costs and budget forecasts, providing value engineering options where applicable. Attend project meetings and provide updates on estimating progress and timelines. Maintain and update a database of costs and pricing for future bidding processes. Stay current with industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance estimating processes. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry. Experience estimating ICI and Residential project is an asset. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset, but not required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs.
