What You’ll Do As a Night Auditor, you are accountable for balancing and closing the day’s business accurately and timely, preparing the hotel for the next day’s operation, and ensuring all our guests and employees' safety. You have the authority to exceed guest expectations and create a lasting positive impression on each guest. Additionally, you will achieve excellence by maximizing room revenue every shift while delivering against key financial goals for the department. Ultimately, you are a key component in making each guest’s experience warm, pleasant, and memorable. This position will include the night shift any day of the week or weekend and the occasional day shift or afternoon or evening shift if needed. Job Duties: * Ensures the proper completion of all night audit duties and checklists. * Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously. * Registers, processes, and greets after-hours arrivals promptly, welcoming them to the hotel. * Stays current with developments in the hotel by reviewing the communication binder and memo’s each shift and updating the communication log for the next shift. * Ensures all customers establish credit upon check-in. * Verifies all information on reservations check-in, name, address, method of payment, etc. * Effectively communicates with guests on noise complaints and issues. * Produces accurate and timely reports and correctly handles cash transactions. * Accounting duties include verifying the accuracy of transactions and completing daily revenue audits, posting transactions, performing end-of-day procedures, compiling, and running statistical reports for all departments and transfer of information into our accounting system. * Provides support to any guests needing assistance and deal with issues as they arise. * Acts as hotel liaison during night hours. * Prepares nightly reports detailing security activities out of the ordinary in the nightly daily snapshot. * Assists with any security issues that may arise during the shift, and lends assistance as required and directed. * Reports any deficiencies, damages or repairs required. * Monitors fire and life safety systems and respond to any alarms. * Assists with other duties assigned. What You Need: * Must have a minimum of one-year front desk experience. * Previous Front Office experience required. * Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently. Requires good communication skills both written and verbal. * Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process. * Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge. * Must have vaild work permit with at least one year remaining before expiration * General knowledge of Brandon and its attractions. * Must be able to stand and exert well-paced ability for up to 6 hours in length. * Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis. * Must be able to lift to 15 lbs. occasionally. * Ability to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen.
