We are currently looking for experienced Production GMAW (MIG) Welders to join our production team in the weld department. Production Welders are responsible for welding subassemblies and final assemblies using production fixtures/jigs in a fast-paced, high volume environment to meet specification.The qualified applicants will have the following qualifications and perform the following duties:Energetic individual able to work in fast paced environment with high productivityMinimum 1 year experience with GMAW (MIG) welding in a production environmentCWB certification is an assetExperience using overhead cranes and forklifts (including propane exchange) an assetPhysically fit and capable of standing for long periods of time (9 hr shifts) with frequent movement (lifting, carrying, bending, turning and pulling) of material up to 50+ lbsExcellent attendance record and punctualityMust have a good health and safety record and adhere to all safety protocolsMust be able to work well in a team environmentDay shift: Monday through Thursday 7am ? 4:30 pm; Friday 7am ? 2:30pmAfternoon shift: Monday through Thursday 5pm ? 2:30am; Friday 3pm ? 10:30pmHandling and Physical Requirements:Frequent movement (lifting, carrying, bending, turning and pulling)Standing for up to 9 hours per dayWear all required Personal Protective Equipment as per company standards (safety glasses, gloves and steel-toed CSA certified boots)Compensation:Hourly wage to be determined, commensurate with skill and experienceAvailability for overtime (subject to production needs)Group health and dental benefits available after 6 monthsBoot allowance after 6 monthsRRSP matching program after 6 monthsAccommodations are available upon request to support your participation during all stages of the recruitment process
