Our client, an employee-owned, multidisciplinary consulting firm, is seeking a Project Manager (Municipal Infrastructure) for their Mississauga office. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position, with a base salary between $100-140k, or more, depending on experience, a competitive benefits and vacation package, including 5% RRSP matching and discretionary bonus program. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to pursue, plan and deliver municipal infrastructure projects of various sizes and degrees of complexity. To this end, you will interface with clients, manage your project’s scope, budget and schedule, and report directly to the Municipal Market Lead under the direction of the Municipal Infrastructure Department Head. To succeed, you will leverage your familiarity with municipal procurement and delivery methods, MCEA processes and regulatory agency requirements to oversee a project from proposal stage to post-construction. Your strong engineering design background in land development, municipal, water resources, structural or environmental engineering prepared you to understand multi-disciplinary complexity and develop a holistic understanding of project management and delivery. Key Responsibilities: Managing multiple, small to large, multi-disciplinary municipal projects from proposal stage to delivery. Planning and managing project scope, budget, schedule, risk and resources Overseeing all engineering design and construction management (tendering, contract administration, inspection, etc.) tasks Project set up and closeout activities Tracking and reporting project progress to the client Ensuring that deliverables are completed to the client’s satisfaction Distributing/assigning work for the project and coordinating resources with Department Heads Preparation and review of reports and proposals Weekly review and approval of project related time and expenses Review and approval of monthly invoices Tracking and pursuing payment of invoices Qualifications: 8 to 12 years of experience in municipal, land development, water resources, structural or environmental engineering with exposure to public infrastructure projects. Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation in Ontario (current or eligible within six months) Project Manager Professional (PMP) designation is an asset Highly proactive with exceptional problem solving/analytical skills Strong proficiency in Windows Microsoft Office Excellent oral & written English skills Travel to project sites is usually limited but is required depending on project/client requirements.
