The Waterpark Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional service that not only meets but exceeds guest expectations, fostering positive and productive relationships both within the team and with guests. This position is integral to ensuring the life, safety and well-being of all guests, both in and around the water, by adhering to established rules, regulations, and procedures. Additionally, the Water Park Attendant helps maintain a welcoming atmosphere, enhancing the parks public image and contributing to a fun, safe experience for all. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Team * Willingness to accept the most effective role. * Advises aquatics management of unsafe and unsanitary conditions. * Assists other departments as needed. * Close with an open mentality. * Keep all areas in like-new condition and website ready. Guest * Ensure guests are greeted and acknowledged consistently, adhering to the 10/5 Rule. * Supervise and provide vigilant surveillance of guests throughout waterpark hours and special events, ensuring safety at all times. * Possess general knowledge of the activity pools and flume attractions. * Assist guests in a polite and expedient manner. * Engage with an average of 1,400 guests daily, “living the Brand” and delivering a professional, courteous experience on a one-on-one basis. * Enforce rules and regulations effectively, applying appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary. * Communicate with guests in a professional and friendly manner. Financial * Protecting company assets by adhering to policies and procedures. Qualifications & Traits * Possess current certifications of Standard First Aid & CPR Level C or Emergency First Aid & CPR Level B. * Brings a contagious sense of enthusiasm and a bubbly attitude to every interaction. * Demonstrates perfect attendance and reliability, consistently handling high levels of responsibility with ease. * Fosters team spirit and works collaboratively with Pack Members to achieve shared goals and ensure a seamless guest experience. Physical Requirements * Walking and standing in water for long periods of time, up to 8 hours at a time. * Working in a hot, humid, chlorinated, noisy environment. * Climbing multiple flights of stairs, up to 90 steps at a time. * Repeated bending, twisting, reaching, pushing and/or pulling to dispatch tubes down the slide of up to 4 guests. * Physical dexterity of hands and arms. * Visual acuity to red height chart and see distances. * Lifting up to 50lbs. Additional Requirements Newly hired Pack Members must submit a completed police clearance to Human Resources. Employment may begin before the results are received, based on the Pack Member’s confirmation that they have no unpardoned criminal convictions. If the clearance reveals a conviction, the employer may terminate employment on a case-by-case basis, providing only the minimum notice required under the Employment Standards Act, 2000, with no additional notice or compensation.
