Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private clients, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking. Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled IT - Software Developer IV - Java to join our client in support of an existing vacancy. Contract Period: 19 months Pay Rate: Starting from $78 per hour Location: Toronto, ON Location Type: Hybrid Business Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Job Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications using Java technologies Build and maintain both front-end and back-end components of enterprise applications Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement sessions, and sprint activities Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design, testing, and deployment documents Work within SDLC processes and ensure compliance with development standards Support application enhancements, maintenance, and production issue resolution Contribute to cloud-native and Azure-based development initiatives Identify technical gaps and proactively recommend improvements Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Angular, SQL Server (MSSQL) Experience with Azure Cloud and cloud-native application development Proficiency in GitHub and JIRA Strong understanding of software design patterns and coding best practices Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience & Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science required 7–8 years of overall software development experience required 5 years of experience applying software design patterns and enterprise development Experience working as a Full Stack Developer in large-scale enterprise environments Previous banking or financial services experience is preferred Java/J2EE Spring Boot Angular SQL/MSSQL Azure Cloud GitHub and JIRA Cloud Architecture experience AI/Copilot tools experience Kafka Banking domain experience How to Apply: If you are a motivated professional looking to contribute to a leading team, please submit your resume outlining your qualifications and experience relevant to this role.
