St Patrick/DMDOFull TimeHamilton, ON Apply Now Job Title: GUEST LIAISON & SECURITY OFFICER Location: De Mazenod Door Outreach, Hamilton Reports To: Chief Executive Officer of DMDO Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DMDO, The Guest Liaison & Security Officer will be responsible for the safety and well-being of parishioners, staff, volunteers, and visitors as well as those of De Mazenod Door Outreach, and the property of St Patrick Church. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Primary responsibility is the safety and welfare of those who come to worship at St. Patrick Parish and the guests who utilize the services of De Mazenod Door Outreach and the volunteers and staff. The Guest Liaison & Security Officer will be responsible for the following: SECURITY OVERSIGHT: Monitor and maintain the security of the property, including but not limited to surveillance, access control, and regular patrols. Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard parishioners, visitors, guests, staff and assets. GUEST RELATIONS: Act as the primary point of contact for parishioners, visitors, and guests by providing assistance and information with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Address inquiries, concerns or issues promptly and professionally. COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Develop and maintain positive relationships with the local community. EMERGENCY RESPONSE: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and other security-related incidents. Collaborate with emergency services as necessary. COLLABORATE WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS: Coordinate and work closely with management, housekeeping, and maintenance to address any security related issues. PROACTIVE SECURITY MEASURES: Identify and address potential security risks before they escalate. Implement preventative measures to enhance overall safety. AUXILIARY DUTIES: Help out as needed in other areas around the parish and De Mazenod Door. Qualifications Previous experience in various security environments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently. Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
