About the Company Our client, a respected full-service law firm, is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their Construction practice group. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative support to lawyers within the Construction Litigation practice group Prepare, revise, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, motion records, and court materials Manage calendars, schedule discoveries, mediations, hearings, and client meetings Maintain electronic and physical files, ensuring all documents are organized and up to date Coordinate court filings through CaseLines and other applicable filing systems Monitor litigation deadlines and limitation periods Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court staff, and third-party service providers Prepare accounts, docket entries, expense reports, and other administrative documentation Assist with trial preparation and document management as required Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Litigation Assistant in a law firm Experience supporting construction litigation or commercial litigation lawyers is strongly preferred Thorough knowledge of Ontario court procedures and filing requirements Experience using CaseLines, Caselines Upload, and the Ontario e-filing system Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing deadlines Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management software Professional, proactive, and client-focused approach Compensation Salary up to $80,000, commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package Hybrid work arrangement with only 1 day per week in the office Collaborative and supportive team environment Ongoing professional development and long-term career growth We do not use AI to screen candidates.
