(AHI) Medical Laboratory Technologist

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Medical Laboratory Technologist in the Laboratory Services Department. The primary location for this position is: Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll Qualifications Required Certification with Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent. Current registration or eligible as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario with authorization to practice relevant specialties in Laboratory Medicine. Minimum two years' experience in a medical laboratory preferred Demonstrated computer literacy (i.e. Cerner); Ability to work with minimal supervision; Demonstrated accuracy, organizational and multi-tasking skills; Ability to collaborate, develop and maintain effective relationships within healthcare teams; Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written); Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to personal, patient and staff safety; Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis; Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. The Medical Laboratory Technologist provides essential laboratory services within the Laboratory Services Department at Alexandra Hospital. Responsibilities include performing phlebotomy and ensuring accurate diagnostic testing while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Candidates must be certified by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science and registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario. A minimum of two years of medical laboratory experience and proficiency in Cerner are preferred.
