Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Personal suitability: Team player. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
