As a Production Worker, you will be working in on the Production floor completing various tasks related to successful cheese production. This position offers 2-4 shifts, up to 36 hours per week. Our facility operates 24/7; on-call shift work is required. Full time opportunities will be posted and awarded by seniority as they become vacant. Schedule: This position offers up to four (4) 9-hour shifts per week for a 36-hour work week. We operate 24/7 and you will work various on-call shifts that may lead to full-time, permanent opportunities. We post and award our full-time positions by seniority. Salary: Starting $31.70 per hour We support and take care of our employees and their families by offering : Generous and complete benefit coverage with group insurance Group retirement plan with employer contribution Telemedicine and assistance program for employees and their families Employee Share Ownership Plan with an employer match Paid Parental Leave program Paid time off: Sick days, floater days and volunteer day off Opportunity to contribute to a collective RRSP & TFSA Training and development programs Organized activities for employees and their families Advantageous discounts on Saputo products How you will make contributions that matter: Participate and learn through in-house on the job training Operation of production equipment, following all food safety procedures Perform manual lifting, stacking, and pulling (up to approx. 50lbs) Perform various tasks using an electric pallet jack Participate in the setup, takedown and sanitation of all parts and equipment when required Working with, and near sanitizing chemicals (i.e. high concentrations of acids and alkalis) Perform other duties as assigned Operate production equipment used in the cheese manufacturing process You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications: Are physically able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive movements Can lift up to 50LBS on a regular basis and perform physically demanding tasks Operate electric power jack, counterbalance & high reach forklifts, clamp truck.
