Maintenance Planner / Scheduler

About The Role As a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler, you'll play a key role in keeping our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently across two SC Johnson Professional sites. You'll develop and coordinate maintenance work plans, ensure parts and resources are available, and partner with maintenance, engineering, and contractors to optimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. By tracking performance and driving continuous improvement, you'll help deliver operational excellence every day. Key Responsibilities Plan all Predictive, Preventive, and Condition Based Maintenance for an assigned area and/or business unit of the facility, in conjunction with the sites production and operational plan, including resource (mechanic, operators, parts, equipment) availability to effectively and efficiently execute activities in a coordinated way. Help prioritize and escalate as necessary critical works. Secure and manage contractors as needed and responsible for ensuring work is performed according to all Safety standards and requirements. Responsible for managing contractors so they remain in good status in management system (ISN). Safety absolutes champion for specific areas. Manage System Data including ensuring that appropriate information, including PM's, etc. are entered into the PM system when a modification, improvement, or addition is made to manufacturing, utilities, and/or other support area equipment. Monitor work order backlog; schedule backlog work in a timely manner to maintain a reasonable level. Monitor/audit Mechanic data entry and quality into PM system. Provide support and training as required to ensure meaningful and comprehensive information is available. Evaluate all notifications, working with Maintenance Manager and Mechanics. Convert to Work Orders or provide feedback to requestors as appropriate. Drive continuous improvement projects related to maintenance as assigned by working with operations and engineering alike. Generate and distribute KPI, and trend analysis and reports. Monitor stock room inventories and reorder points. Required Experience You’ll Bring 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; consumer goods manufacturing experience preferred. Technical certification, associate degree, or college diploma in a related discipline such as Mechanical Engineering Technology, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar technical field Preferred Experiences And Skills Experience with SAP, preferably S4 HANA. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements and experience in a GMP manufacturing environment Must have continuous improvement mindset. Strong analysis skills Ability to make ongoing judgments and decisions to keep the business functioning at a high level. Ability and willingness to operate and support a positive culture and follow established values. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Accountable for personal development and improvement. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. High level of computer expertise and competence. Analytical skills in problem solving. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong understanding of mechanical processes, equipment and electrical systems. Familiar with other Maintenance Improvement methodologies; work with site/Corporate Engineers. Open to new methods and opportunities. Positive conflict management skills. Participation in the start-up or commissioning of technical equipment and/or production lines. Basic understanding of Costing guidelines and Finance & Accounting principles Job Requirements Full-time core office hours with expectation to be available for occasional nights/weekends This position is not eligible for relocation assistance Able to work off-shifts, weekends and extended shifts (i.e. 10 hrs., 12 hrs.), based on business needs Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice as assigned by the Manager. The expected base salary range for this position is between 67,600.00 CAD - 88,700.00 CAD. Job related skills, experience, education, and location will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive and/or long-term incentives. Requires 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience and a technical certification or degree in a related engineering field. Proficiency in SAP S4 HANA and a strong understanding of GMP and mechanical processes are preferred.
