Food Services Aide - Retirement, Permanent Part-Time

The Village of Arbour Trails located in Guelph, ON has an exciting opportunity for a Perm Part-Time Food Service Aide to join our team. • Status: Permanent Part-Time • Location: 32 Bayberry Dr, Guelph, ON N1G 0C9 STARTS: TBD HOURS : 24.5 hrs Biweekly, Shifts: 16:30 - 20:00. The hiring rate for this role is $19.35 per collective agreement/employee association agreement. (20-50 lb. usual). * Possess exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team. * Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents’ diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques. * Support with the preparation of catering functions and events, and maintaining a clean dining room and workspace. * Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8-hours maximum). * Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents. * Have a valid Smart Serve Certification. * Hold a valid Food handlers certification. It would be an asset if our new Food Service Aide has: * Completed, enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program * Hold a valid Food Safety Awareness certification or equivalent. The Food Service Aide is responsible for serving meals and beverages to residents while adhering to dietary preferences and safe food handling practices. They also assist with catering functions and maintain the cleanliness of the dining room and workspace.

Candidates must possess a valid Smart Serve certification and a valid Food Handlers certification. The ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand or walk for the duration of an 8-hour shift is required.
