Schoolhouse Montessori is looking for a kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will be dependable, flexible, possess strong communication and organizational skills. This job description describes the general duties and responsibilities that the employee will be expected to perform. However, the job or duties described may vary or be amended to suit the needs of the centre. *Food*: Catered snacks and lunches (No cooking is required) *Hours (may vary): *9:00 a.m.- 1:00pm *Qualifications: * * Current Food Handler's Certificate * Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C * Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check (within the last six months) * Up to date immunization *Responsibilities: * * Independent responsibility of the kitchen, cleaning all equipment and appliances, recording temperatures of the food, fridge and freezer * Knowledge of children with allergies and food restrictions * Portion and distribute catered lunches to classrooms * Washing and sanitizing all dishes and utensils * Maintain an inventory of food and kitchen supplies / Pick up milk * Job involves standing, squatting, lifting and walking up stairs * Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized that meets Public Health requirements Job Type: Part-time Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress Experience: * Cooking: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
