The Pharmacy Technician supports the pharmacist, pharmacy assistants, and the pharmacy team with prescription processing, technical accuracy, inventory, compounding, and patient service. This role requires efficient prescription workflow, strong attention to detail, respect for confidentiality, and patient safety. The Pharmacy Technician works collaboratively with pharmacists and other pharmacy team members while following company policies, pharmacy procedures, privacy standards and provincial pharmacy regulations. *Patient Care & Clinical Services* * Support prescription intake, processing, preparation, labelling, packaging, and organization. * Complete technical pharmacy duties within Pharmacy Technician scope of practice. * Perform technical checks, where permitted, by provincial standards * Assist with prescription intake, processing, preparation and technical workflow * Direct medication counseling, therapeutic questions and clinical concerns to the pharmacist * Prepare compliance packaging and blister packs. * Assist with or prepare compounding tasks where permitted, trained and required by pharmacy. * Support pharmacy services and workflow needs as directed by the pharmacist in charge. *Regulatory Compliance* * Maintain accurate prescription records, documentation, and pharmacy files. * File prescriptions, scanning documents, fax records, and complete general pharmacy paperwork. * Support insurance claims, third-party billing, prescription refills, and prescription deliveries, if provided by the pharmacy. * Receive medication and supply orders, stock shelves, rotate inventory, check expiry dates, and replenish supplies. * Assist with inventory counts, stock returns, and maintaining organized medication storage. * Support controlled substance and narcotic procedures where permitted and directed by pharmacy policy/regulations. * Maintain patient confidentiality and handle personal health information with care. * Follow pharmacy standards, privacy requirements, workplace safety procedures and company policies. *Collaboration and Team Support* * Work cooperatively with the pharmacy team (including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and assistants) to maintain an efficient and positive team environment. * Support pharmacy workflow by helping prioritize tasks and maintain quality service. * Contribute to problem solving discussions and recommend improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. * Participate in training activities by sharing knowledge, and advancing skill development as required * Foster a positive and collaborative work environment *Qualifications:* * Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with Ontario College of Pharmacists * Experience with Propel * Pharmacy Technician diploma or certificate from an accredited or recognized program * Proficient computer and data entry skills * Attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy * Experience with compounding is considered a strong asset * Experience with compliance packaging, inventory, or prescription processing is an asset * Outstanding communication, and interpersonal skills both written and verbal * Friendly, respectful and professional attitude * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment * Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift boxes or supply containers up to 50lb *Working Conditions:* · 30-40 hours per week · On-site role in a community pharmacy setting *Compensation & Benefits:*
