Job Summary: Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager leads all activities of the Maintenance department. This includes planning and implementing efficiencies within the facility. Constant review of operational plans, objectives, requirements and standards are met. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance inventory control, management of equipment breakdowns, and the preventative maintenance program, while establishing quality and cost standards. Key Responsibilities: Provides leadership to the maintenance team, to align with national maintenance program(s) and ensures efficient day-to-day operation of the facility and all equipment. Promotes safety and a safe work environment for all employees/contractors, Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and other internal customers, Provides subject matter expertise on new equipment purchases to ensure maintainability and reliability, Provide leadership for equipment reliability improvement projects, focused on asset reliability, Champions the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and implements improvements and upgrades to ensure efficient and effective use of resources, Provides technical expertise and leadership to improve the preventative and predictive maintenance activities, Develop standard processes for corrective action plans that improve asset care, Foster a team environment to fully support the objectives of plant operations, using various metrics to measure maintenance performance, continuous improvement, and asset reliability, Review plant history and other technical files to identify opportunities for improvement, Incorporate continuous improvement feedback into the maintenance planning and execution strategy, Utilize lifecycle cost analysis (LCA) for decision making and evaluation of rebuild vs replacement alternatives. on assets, Work with Engineering to integrate capital projects into the asset care program at each facility, Establish reliability & work planning KPI's to monitor performance & improvement PM/CM ratio, MTBF, MTTR, Wrench Time, etc, Ensure compliance with HACCP, BRCGS regulations, and GMP’s are adhered to and maintain all relevant documentation, Requirements: Self-motivated and passionate individual, who has a high sense of urgency, thrives with a wide variety of work, and can deliver consistent results on multiple priorities, Minimum of five years Maintenance Management experience Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification an asset Certified Asset Management Professional designation an asset (PEMAC) Mechanical Millwright 433A or Industrial Electrician 442A trade experience is an asset Working knowledge of ammonia plant operations Strong project management skills Must have excellent computer skills, proficient in MS Office, Excel Hiring Range: Hiring Range: CAD $84,070 - $120,220 Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus up to 10% of base salary subject to the plan terms and conditions. Please note that the expected hiring range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sofina. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, skillset of the candidate and internal equity. This position is currently an active vacancy.
