You love helping customers on their digital journey, promoting the adoption of Microsoft cloud technology to help drive business outcomes. You are passionate about helping customers solve challenges through the delivery of ongoing solutions that reduce risk and manage costs. The Microsoft Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting the Microsoft Cloud and Workplace sales strategy within their aligned sales districts. You will support new customer acquisition through participation in demand generation activities for your districts while also growing existing customer spend through proactive sales campaigns, leveraging Microsoft programs, and participating in Softchoice SAM+ and lifecycle services. Successful execution will require strong alignment with the local Microsoft specialist team units, as well as a specialized knowledge of Microsoft products, licensing vehicles, programs and funding. What you’ll do: Provide pre-sales support to sales and customers for Microsoft Azure and/or M365 solutions and Softchoice CSP offers. Deliver solution recommendations and roadmaps to customers. Support the execution of targeted sales campaigns. Identify opportunities to leverage Microsoft programs and incentives. Collaborate with Sales to develop and execute strategic account plans for key accounts, identifying growth opportunities, addressing challenges, and driving long term customer success. Manage a pipeline of Microsoft opportunities and monitor overall performance for aligned solutions within the territory. Participate in SAM+ and Lifecycle services activities for key accounts to promote solution cross-sell and up-sell. Participate in sales enablement activities for aligned Microsoft solutions. Participate in customer and partner events including webinars, CIEs, or other thought leadership activities within aligned districts. Foster and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft counterparts in support of co-sell initiatives and promoting Softchoice competitive differentiation. What you'll bring to the table: A deep understanding of Microsoft cloud solutions with strong technical proficiency. 2-4 years of industry relevant experience in sales 2+ years of Microsoft experience with Cloud or Volume Licensing solutions As SME (Subject Matter Expert) stay on top of new trends, technology updates and Cloud technologies. Actively leverage Microsoft Learn and other resources to enhance both soft and technical skills and apply in more complex situations. Achievement of Microsoft certifications aligned to assigned products is preferred. Proven ability to engage in consultative selling, understanding customer pain points, and positioning Microsoft products and services to solve those challenges. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and departments to achieve common goals and objectives. Strong analytical skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to interact and communicate at the Executive level Ability to follow 9AM - 5PM EST working hours, regardless of location. Compensation: A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position in Canada is $59,000 to $74,000 annually + 30% as target incentives. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, education, and related certification. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
