What You’ll Do; As the E-Commerce Merchandising Team Lead with Sporting Life, you will be responsible for executing and maintaining the online merchandising plan. You work well in a fast-paced team environment, have an understanding and passion for our brand, are extremely detail oriented, have leadership skills with the ability to influence and support team members. You also have creative problem-solving skills and initiative, as you will proactively bring ideas to the Director, E-Commerce on ways to improve. Execute and lead the team on on-site merchandising activities such as product categorization, sort orders, site search, filtering and navigation to reinforce a positive brand experience and optimal customer shopping experience. Follow merchandising standards, best practices, and processes to ensure consistency and operational excellence. Oversee product categorization, taxonomy, navigation, filtering, and search optimization to improve product discoverability. Lead seasonal launches, promotional campaigns, new product introductions, and homepage merchandising strategies. Support the E-Comm merchandising team with learning and development Ability to prioritize projects and assign resources accordingly to support the business. Works with the Director, E-Commerce & Marketing team to ensure seasonal marketing calendar, key initiatives and campaigns are supported and deadlines met. Promotions and campaign setup. High level of quality assurance and testing. Performs pricing, inventory and SEO checks. Responsible for maintaining the E-Comm merchandising calendar. Collaborates with site merchandisers to identify opportunities and develop their respective divisions, while working cross functionally to ensure omni channel alignment. Supports the production brief process. Leverage reporting and web analytics tools to analyze campaign and merchandising performance. Assist with site improvement initiatives, regression testing and trouble shooting. What You’ll Bring; Solid understanding merchandising and 3 years experience in a merchandising role. 1–2+ years of people management experience in a retail or e-commerce environment would be considered an asset. Knowledge of site analytics tools (Google analytics, hotjar etc). Exemplary problem-solving skills and initiatives. Highly motivated, with a sense of urgency. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Extremely detail oriented. Expert planner and organizer. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Experience with Salesforce is an asset. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field. AI is used as part of our application review process to assist in screening and assessment.
