To learn more about the company, visit us at: https://www.stella-jones.com/en/inside-stella-jones Position Details: The Regional Sales Manager for the Utility Pole and Industrial Products divisions at Stella-Jones is responsible for proactively managing their book of business and executing day-to-day sales activities for select accounts within an assigned region. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports and reports to a Director-level sales leader in Canada. This specific Regional Sales Manager opening will be home-based (remote) ideally in the Halifax area (although we are open to candidates in other parts of the Maritimes as well). The position primarily covers Atlantic Canada, including the Maritime provinces (New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia) as well as Newfoundland and Labrador. This position involves significant travel within the territory (up to 40-50% travel expected). However, a portion of this travel will consist of same-day travel within the region (including visits to our Truro pole manufacturing plant and Clarenville (NF) office and stocking yard, with overnight travel likely limited to approximately 25%. Key Responsibilities: Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries regarding pricing and information. Provide valuable input for customer procedures in collaboration with the Customer Service Team. Develop a deep understanding of customer programs, contracts, and specifications. Conduct frequent in-person meetings with major customers and ensure proactive communication. Expand contacts within existing customers across procurement, engineering, and construction. Strategically prioritize business investments based on value contributions. Identify and resolve bottlenecks to enhance cost-efficiency in sales operations. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and review insights with customers. Pursue contract extensions proactively and seek new sales opportunities. Assist with logistics solutions, cost-efficient transportation, and inventory optimization. Lead bid tender preparation and ensure competitive market positioning.
