Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. is currently seeking a full-time permanent Lead Hand – Rental Valves to work with our team in Edmonton, AB. Responsibilities: * Provide effective leadership and communication to department employees with respect to building a strong commitment to customer service, while maintaining a positive and effective work environment * Ensure department activities operate in support of business goals and objectives for rental valve product and are compliant with Company policies and procedures. * Oversee, train and mentor valve assembly/repair teams in all aspects of position ensuring efficient and quality workflow * Assist department supervisor in coordinating the activities of the department * Lead as an example with production, mentoring and motivating team members, ensuring individual and group productivity * Coordinate with AMS Quality Control for any items required to be farmed out. * Assist in the creation of paperwork such as work orders, safety documents, etc. * Responsible for repairing rental valve components and other rental equipment as required. * Understand / write travelers and work orders for estimate to repair * Support and Trouble shoot issues within Rental Valve team * Open and close responsibilities for the facility as required. * Ensure the cleanliness of the facility to internal and external customers. * Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental, regulations or policies * Perform other duties as required or assigned by Supervisor/Manager.. Qualifications: * High School Diploma with 5 years of relevant experience with valves and oilfield industry preferred * Previous lead hand or supervisory experience an asset * Comprehensive knowledge of valve products including experience with valve repair, rebuild and/or teardown preferred * Ability to effectively delegate work. * Mechanically inclined; strong understanding of hand and power tool functionality * Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP an asset. * Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Work Conditions: * Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, with ample overtime opportunities currently available. * After-hours and on-call availability when required. * Work is primarily performed indoors.
