As the business continues to grow and evolve, they are seeking an experienced HR leader to help shape and execute the people strategy that supports long-term organizational success Position Scope: The Senior Director / Regional Director, Human Resources will serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership while providing hands-on leadership across all facets of human resources. This role is responsible for aligning people strategies with business objectives and driving organizational effectiveness through talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, labour relations, succession planning, leadership development, and change management initiatives. The successful candidate will lead HR initiatives across a complex operational environment and act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping to foster a high-performance culture while ensuring compliance with all employment and labour legislation. Responsibilities: Partner with executive and operational leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support business growth and operational objectives. Provide strategic and tactical guidance on labour relations, employee relations, organizational design, and workforce planning. Lead collective bargaining preparation and negotiations, where applicable. Manage grievance processes, conflict resolution, investigations, and labour relations matters. Support and coach leaders on performance management, leadership development, talent planning, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives. Develop and implement programs that support attraction, retention, development, and recognition of top talent. Drive organizational change initiatives and support business transformation activities. Monitor HR metrics and workforce trends to guide decision-making and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with employment legislation, labour laws, company policies, and HR best practices. Lead and develop HR team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence. Partner with stakeholders across the organization to drive a positive employee experience and strengthen organizational effectiveness. Required Skills and Knowledge: Strong strategic HR leadership capabilities with the ability to align people strategies to business objectives. Demonstrated expertise in labour relations, including collective bargaining, grievance management, and interpretation of collective agreements. Strong employee relations experience, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, and coaching. Knowledge of organizational development, succession planning, talent management, and leadership development practices. Strong business acumen with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels of the organization. Experience leading change management initiatives within complex and evolving business environments. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to analyze workforce data and HR metrics to support business decisions and strategic planning. Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices. Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience: Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. CHRL designation preferred. Minimum 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience. Demonstrated success supporting both unionized and non-unionized work environments. Significant experience leading labour relations and employee relations initiatives. Experience supporting large-scale operations, manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, industrial, or similarly complex environments is considered an asset. Proven track record partnering with senior leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, talent strategies, and business performance. Experience leading teams and developing HR professionals.
