*About Us* SuperNurse is a night-nursing company providing in-home support to families with newborns across Toronto and the GTA. We deliver skilled, evidence-based nursing care to healthy infants so parents can rest and recover. We are a small team of experienced registered nurses, supported by a Nurse Practitioner medical director. *Position Overview* We are hiring Registered Nurses to provide overnight care for healthy newborns in clients' homes. This is an *on-call role*: shifts are offered as client bookings come in, with a minimum of *48 hours' notice* before a shift. * *Shift length:* 8 hours (occasionally 10 hours) * *Typical hours:* 9:00 p.m. ? 6:00 a.m. * *Shift mix:* ~95% overnight, ~5% daytime * *Expected volume:* 2?3 shifts per week, with the option to take up to 5 based on your availability and client demand * *Scheduling:* Highly flexible ? you set your availability and accept the shifts that work for you *MANDATORY Requirements* Applicants *must* meet all of the following. Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be considered. * *Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).* * *Minimum 2 years of RN experience* in at least one of the following settings: * Labour & Delivery * NICU * Pediatrics * Maternity / Postpartum ward * *Professional Liability Protection (PLP).* * *Current CPR certification.* * *Ability to work overnight shifts and travel across the GTA.* *Assets (Not Required)* * Personal experience caring for newborns * Breastfeeding / lactation education or certification * Experience in a tertiary care pediatric or maternity hospital (e.g., SickKids, Mount Sinai, Sunnybrook) *Key Responsibilities* * Provide overnight newborn care: feeding (bottle, or bringing baby to mother for breastfeeding), diaper changes, and soothing to support healthy sleep routines. * Offer parental support and education, answering questions and providing guidance during the newborn period. * Perform light household tasks between feeds: sterilizing bottles and pump parts, preparing feeds, folding baby laundry. * Maintain clear documentation of feeds, diaper changes, and sleep patterns to share with parents at end of shift. * Communicate with the medical director as needed, escalating any clinical concerns. *Independent Contractor Role* This is an independent contractor position. Nurses practice autonomously and are responsible for maintaining their own professional and business requirements, including appropriate insurance coverage.
