Parttime Tutor for High School math and science

Role Description This is a part-time role for a Tutor specializing in Math and Science at Sylvan Learning of Erin Mills. The Tutor will provide personalized instruction, guiding students through their math and science studies. Day-to-day tasks include conducting tutoring sessions, assessing student progress, and developing individualized learning plans. This is an on-site role located in Mississauga, ON. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Ontario high school Mathematics and at least one senior Science subject: Physics, Chemistry or Biology Ability to teach students in Grades 9–12 Previous high-school teaching or tutoring experience Excellent English communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly Ability to engage and support students in small-group and one-to-one settings Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Education or a closely related field Familiarity with the Ontario secondary-school curriculum is strongly preferred Must be legally entitled to work in Canada without employer sponsorship Must be able to work in person at Sylvan Learning of Erin Mills in Mississauga Must be available during weekday evenings and/or Saturdays

The tutor will provide personalized instruction in math and science to high school students. Key tasks include conducting tutoring sessions, assessing progress, and developing individualized learning plans.

Candidates must have strong knowledge of the Ontario high school curriculum and a bachelor's degree in a related field (completed or in progress). Previous teaching or tutoring experience and legal authorization to work in Canada are required.
