Compensation 63,900.00 - 119,700.00 CAD Annual Purpose: The National Transportation Manager (NTM), Inbound Logistics, is responsible for leading the logistics planners that manage inbound transportation planning duties via Manhattan TMS. The NTM will drive the logistics KPIs aligned with the inbound load building process while providing the highest level of service success to our partners at the Operating Sites. Responsibilities: Own the inbound load planning process for all sites and cross-dock locations across CABL Communicate missing, irregular, or insufficient budgeted cost issues to Supply Chain Management/Analytics for resolution Drive inbound optimization improvement via: Maximum load fill on inbound execution Load building alignment to the most efficient use of mode and equipment Mitigation of negative logistics earned income Efficient use of current state cross-dock facilities Order group development and subsequent implementation Supplier order frequency review Vendor PO dating / lead time alignment Inbound schedule balancing / whse capacity management Provide cross-functional support for team counterparts in Operational Logistics & Supply Chain Management/Analytics Contribute inbound expertise & provide recommendations for large scale onboardings of new customers/suppliers Constructively receive feedback from the carrier partner community on means to improve the load building process Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze load planning efficiencies for new opportunities to achieve KPI goals Interpret data & reporting from within the department and other sources to assist with optimizing the load building process Generate ad-hoc reports on demand as needed Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with Operational Logistics for overall inbound shipment success Partner with Procurement ongoing to capitalize on inbound opportunities and efficiencies Develop an ongoing cadence with Produce and Backhaul to ensure that their load building requirements are met Skills: Logistics Expertise - In-depth knowledge of transportation & logistics principles, including freight routing, revenue management cost analysis, and equipment/mode optimization Data Analysis - Proficiency in attaining actionable intelligence from multiple sources Experience with IDS ERP, Manhattan TMS, GSC data sources Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to engage collaborative partners Anticipatory mindset for the comprehensive needs of the greater logistics team Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in related discipline or 5+ years of relevant logistics experience in lieu of a degree Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. Travel Requirements: 0-10%
