You can choose the days and number of hours that work for you. Appointments may take place in our clinic, in clients' homes, or at three separate facilities that we serve. We are looking for a reliable, compassionate RN or RPN who enjoys working independently and providing quality care. Job Summary As a Foot Care Nurse, you will provide comprehensive foot care to clients in the clinic, in their homes, and at three local facilities. This is a contractor position with flexible part-time or casual hours. Responsibilities * Complete lower-limb and foot assessments. * Provide treatment plans within your nursing scope of practice. * Educate clients on foot care, prevention, and maintaining foot health. * Provide routine and advanced foot care treatments, including thickened nail reduction, corn removal, callus reduction, and ingrown toenail maintenance. * Provide fungal nail treatments as appropriate. * Refer clients to other health-care providers when needed. * Maintain accurate client records in the clinic's EMR system. * Follow IPAC standards for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing equipment. * Take part in quality-improvement initiatives as needed. * Provide care in the clinic, in clients' homes, and at the facilities we serve. Requirements * Current registration as an RN or RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). * Advanced Diabetic Foot Care Certificate. * Strong knowledge of foot care and client education. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage a busy schedule and work independently. * Comfort using electronic medical records (EMRs). * Experience or strong knowledge of neuropathy, diabetes management, circulatory conditions, IPAC, onychomycosis, and ingrown toenail care. * Proficiency in advanced foot care techniques, including scalpel debridement and fungal nail care. * Personal liability insurance through RNAO, RPNAO, or a similar provider. * Your own instruments for routine medical foot care, or monthly rental fee to use the clinic?s tools. * A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle for mobile appointments. Preferred Qualifications * Experience in a clinic or mobile health-care setting. * French language skills. * Wound care experience.
