Job Description: Testia Canada - Material & Processes Engineer (H/F) – Blainville Testia, an Airbus company, is an international business specializing in aerostructure integrity and inspections, as well as aerospace non-destructive testing (NDT). We offer a wide range of equipment and tools for fast and efficient analysis of structures, components, and assemblies. Testia is also a training center covering all NDT methods across all levels, while providing inspection, consulting, and engineering services. We are currently looking for a: Material & Processes Engineer (H/F) Scope of position : The Material & Processes (M&P) Engineer will be based at a client location in Mirabel, QC, serving as the primary technical point of contact for material selection and processing tasks, while supporting production teams in achieving full compliance with engineering specifications and technical drawings. Responsibilities and duties : Project Management: Work within time and budget constraints to manage multiple task priorities,proactively identifying blockers and providing accurate estimates to ensure project objectives are met. Material Selection: Evaluate and recommend materials and specialized processes for aerospace applications based on rigorous performance criteria and compliance with industry specifications. Process Development: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance operational efficiency,minimize production costs, and ensure superior product quality. Technical Analysis: Support the qualification of materials, parts, and technologies by assessing performance under diverse environmental conditions to ensure alignment with design requirements. Collaboration: Foster strong relationships within cross-functional and multi-cultural teams, including Design,Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and external suppliers, to ensure seamless project execution. Documentation: Author and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including qualification test plans, reports, material specifications, and process instructions. Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to aerospace industry standards and internal company policies throughout all material and process activities. Problem Solving: Identify and address technical issues related to materials and processes, implementing effective solutions. Support non-confirmities resolution by analysing and understanding information on related documents and drawing. Research and Development: Stay current with advancements in materials science and processing techniques, and apply new knowledge to projects. Requirements and skills : Education: Bachelor Degree in metallurgy and materials science, chemistry, composite, or equivalent. Work Experience: Metallurgy and forging processes. Titanium related knowledge is an asset. Composite, surface treatment, painting, product safety, chemistry, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry (an asset) Language: Fluent in English (written and Spoken), French (intermediate - an asset) Strong team player with excellent collaborative skills. Highly adaptable and flexible in dynamic work environments. Autonomous, self-driven, and highly organized in your daily work.
