If you share our values and would like to work with skilled professionals, Armour is presently seeking a Light Duty Cleaner – Laundry Attendant at The Barrington Hotel. Reporting to the Laundry Manager, this individual will be responsible for the public areas of the Hotel. The first impression is a lasting impression. The moment our guests enter the hotel through glass doors into the welcoming lobby needs to be perfect. As Laundry Attendant, you’ll get to: Following all LSOP’s and safety procedures at all times Sorting all linens into like loads paying special attention to pre-treating stains. Load correct amount of linen into commercial size washers and dryers using proper cycles. Utilize the commercial press. Load clean linens on shelving. Aid in inventory. Ensuring the work area is clean and neat at all times and free from safety hazards. Notifying supervisor of malfunctioning equipment, supplies needed, and /or damaged linens. Maintains an acceptable pace of work to ensure efficiency and that inventory is maintained for guest needs. Undertakes other duties, as required. What we’re looking for: Previous cleaning experience Knowledge of various types of cleaning equipment such as floor scrubber, shampooer Experience working in a fast-paced environment Ability to work different shifts. Motivated, detail orientated and organized individual, with a strong work ethic and the ability to excel in a face paced environment. Must be able to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time. Must be able to make repeated and continued movements of the shoulders, elbows and hands (below waist and overhead movement) as well as use various cleaning equipment and chemicals.
