Rotation/Shifts Days, 8 hour shifts. For information purposes only - The Hospital reserves the right to change. Basic Requirements Certification by Sonography Canada or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers; Eligible for Registered Vascular Technologist/Sonographer Certification; Good knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound equipment both mobile and static; Good knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology and pathology; Ability to accurately differentiate normal vs abnormal test results; Current CPR certification; Good written, verbal and presentation skills; Sound judgement and problem-solving abilities; Good interpersonal skills; Must be eligible to work in Canada. Preferred Qualifications Vascular Sonography (CRVS or RVT) certification by Sonography Canada (SC) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent; Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced). The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills. Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position at the level of interaction with French and English speaking clients.
