Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Supervision: Heavy duty equipment mechanics. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T). Powered equipment repair specialization: Hydraulic-operated working attachments. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Mechanical transmissions. Drive trains and final drives. Tracked vehicle suspensions and steering. Differentials. Brake system. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
