Associate Manager - Operations

Schedule: Full Time Job Type: Hybrid Salary Type: Salary Req #: 3150 About the Role The Associate Manager, Operations, is responsible for managing a single or group of client(s). This includes providing support to the operations team and reporting to clients as needed. This position is also responsible for managing the daily operations, maintaining and reporting on standard work processes to ensure that the transportation solution for each account is fully maintained for accuracy and efficiency. This position will be located on-site at Uber Freight’s Oakville, ON office. Some travel may be required to on-site customer locations. What the Candidate Will Do Proactively identify and communicate issues, propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement regarding processes, cost, service, and profitability Conflict resolution and problem solving Determine eligibility for additional non-committed freight to be awarded to internal brokerage services and actively support and encourage the awards Develop and distribute customer reports and internal performance management reports Negotiate and contract rate agreements with carriers, reconcile established rate levels with available purchased transportation providers, seek out new carriers to provide service at competitive rate levels Rate Quotes TMS Updates/Maintenance (including rates, SRG, OCA, FAM, SPT, etc.) Monitor and hold team accountable for all key job functions Review, analyze, and understand matters related to P&Ls Deliver cost savings / cost containment to customer and/or Uber Freight Basic Qualifications University or College Degree Minimum 2 years of management experience Minimum 5 years of Transportation / Logistics Experience Travel required Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Tools / Google Workspace Reporting and Analytics (Ability to run BI reports; validate information; understand report, and offer feedback and deliver insights to your manager and or customer contacts on the information contained within the report) Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge and utilization of the appropriate TMS or similar software Proven track record of continuous improvement initiatives with internal or external ROI’s Project Management or Implementation experience Experience working with AI tools and incorporating into daily work for frontline team members About Uber Freight Uber Freight helps companies move goods more reliably and efficiently. They will proactively identify process improvements, negotiate carrier rates, and deliver performance reports to maintain profitability and service standards.

Candidates must possess a university or college degree along with at least 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of management experience and advanced proficiency in computer tools and reporting analytics are required.
