Location: Greensville Centre, 625 Harvest Road, Dundas, ON L9H 5K8 Total Hours per Week: 5 Schedule: Monday to Friday 4:00pm-5:00pm Pay Rate (per Collective Agreement, includes wage grants): $23.79 per hour About the Role As a Teacher’s Assistant, you are a key support to the classroom, the children, and the centre. Your flexibility, care, and teamwork help maintain a positive, organized, and safe environment for all. Duties vary from centre to centre, but your contributions will always make a meaningful impact. Qualifications Demonstrated awareness of working with children Experience and ability to effectively interact with children requiring behavioural guidance Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction from supervisors Flexibility and adaptability to support various duties and changing needs Passion for nurturing children and supporting their growth Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen? and the ability to apply it in practice Certifications: Standard First Aid with CPR Level C Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check Proof of up-to-date immunizations (TB, Tetanus, MMR) Key Responsibilities: Meet and greet children and families at drop-off Assist staff as they arrive, including helping in classrooms or other areas of the centre Provide support in assigned classrooms, including Infant, Toddler, or Preschool rooms, based on daily operational needs Deliver and serve snacks, tidy classrooms, or support other centre needs as assigned Follow the plans for the day and support children’s learning and engagement Adapt to different duties as required by the centre’s schedule and needs Be flexible and ready to support co-workers and the centre wherever help is required Why Join Umbrella Family?
