IT User and System Support Technician (Replacement)

Profile Qualifications DEC in Computer Science or appropriate specialty, or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent Conditions related to the specific position: Strong English oral and written communication skills (to be tested); Functional French oral and written communication skills (to be tested); Knowledge of Microsoft EUC (windows) and the configuration and installation of computers and computer labs (to be tested); Knowledge of Internet/Intranet services such as e-mail, web technologies, authentication, and security; Knowledge of network technologies, including: cabling, network protocols, configuration and maintenance of network servers, and network security; Knowledge of software packaging and deployment technologies (SCCM) Strong ability to work with users and find solutions to their computer and network related problems; Ability to coordinate and collaborate with other staff and network users; Knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Office 365 is an asset; Knowledge and expertise in the educational sector is an asset.

The technician is responsible for the configuration, installation, and maintenance of computers, computer labs, and network servers. They provide direct support to users to resolve computer and network-related problems while collaborating with other staff.

Candidates must hold a DEC in Computer Science or an equivalent diploma and possess strong communication skills in English and functional French. Technical proficiency in Microsoft EUC, SCCM, and network technologies is required.
