Role Description The Certified Athletic Therapist is a full-time, on-site role located in Petawawa, ON. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing musculoskeletal injuries, developing treatment and rehabilitation plans, and providing hands-on care such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and injury prevention strategies. The role involves working closely with clients to monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and educate them on safe return-to-play and activity modification. The therapist will maintain thorough clinical documentation, collaborate with other health professionals, and support clinic operations, including occasional evening or weekend coverage as needed. Qualifications Certified Athletic Therapist (e.g., CAT(C) or equivalent), in good standing with the relevant professional association. Post-secondary degree or diploma in Athletic Therapy, Kinesiology, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in injury assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation of sport-related and orthopedic conditions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Ability to work independently in a clinical setting, manage a caseload, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Current first aid and CPR certification; experience with emergency care and field-side coverage is an asset. Familiarity with record-keeping, clinical documentation standards, and basic use of clinic management software. Willingness to engage in continuing education and professional development to maintain and enhance clinical skills. Availability to work full-time on-site, with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends based on client needs.
