The police officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the Laval community through active patrol and community engagement. They participate in various specialized units and maintain public order while upholding the values of the police service. Candidates must be Canadian citizens with a clean criminal record and a valid class 4A driver's license. A diploma from the initial patrol-gendarmerie training program (PFIPG) at the École nationale de police du Québec (ÉNPQ) is required.
