Location Address 1380 Ellis ST Kelowna, British Columbia V1Y 2A2 When Opportunity Type Ongoing - Start Anytime Schedule Asap About This Opportunity Reading Mentors support newcomer children and parents with their reading and English conversation skills. The time commitment is a weekly commitment of 2 hours one evening a week (Tuesday or Wednesday, 5-7pm) for a 7 week a session (OCT-NOV) You will be paired up with a newcomer family to support them with their reading and participation in the program. We focus on child participation and learning through play. Volunteer Requirements Whether you meet these requirements or not, we encourage you to share your interest in us. You may still be a fit for a different opportunity with our organization. Willing to undergo a background or police records check Over “age of majority” in province of opportunity Provide 2 references Skills & Experience ESL Teaching Translation & Interpretation Cross-cultural Communication Mentoring Tutoring

Candidates must be of the age of majority in the province and willing to undergo a background or police records check. Two references are required for the application.
