Manager, Hydrometric Program Division & Unit: Science & Licensing Location: Moose Jaw or Regina, SK Annual Salary: $111,132 to $138,924 (MC8) Competition Number: WSA-24-2026/27 Join the Water Security Agency as Manager, Hydrometric Programs and play a key leadership role in shaping Saskatchewan’s water future. Reporting to the Director, Hydrology Services, you will manage the hydrometric program leading a team of professionals responsible for delivering the province’s hydrometric, hydro-meteorological, and bridge scour programs. Your leadership will help ensure the collection, publication, management, and delivery of critical water data that supports streamflow forecasting, water supply planning, infrastructure operations, public safety, and evidence-based decision-making across Saskatchewan. We are looking for a strategic and people-focused leader who excels at building high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and delivering results. Success in this role requires strong competencies in leadership, communication, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and change management. You will work closely with provincial and federal partners, senior leadership, and a diverse range of stakeholders to advance program priorities, improve operational effectiveness, and champion the adoption of new technologies and practices. If you are energized by leading complex programs, developing talent, and making a meaningful impact on the management of Saskatchewan’s water resources, we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will have a Degree in Engineering or related discipline, a license to practice professional engineering from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS), and 8 years of progressively more responsible directly related experience in hydrologic and watershed analysis, and in assessment of river, lake and reservoir hydraulics, flood forecasting and infrastructure management.
