Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)

You'll Do: * Work in a safe manner using established SOPs, following all lockouts and protocols, and completing PTHAs. * Preventative maintenance and repair of conveyors, various belt and chain transfer and drive systems, sawing, debarking, sorting, stacking, and compressors. * Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the assembly, installation, set-up and repair of equipment and machinery. * Work in man-lifts with the use of fall protection equipment. * Repair and maintenance of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves and cylinders. * Work positively in a team environment. You have: * Commitment to working safely and creating a safe workplace. * Sawmill experience is an asset. * A valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Millwright certification or a Millwrighting Apprentice preparing to enroll in their 4th * Mechanical aptitude; excellent problem-solving skills. * Ability to work closely with other trades and employees. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Flexible schedule for workdays, nights, and weekend shifts. The Millwright is responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of industrial machinery, including conveyors, hydraulic systems, and sawing equipment. They must operate hoisting devices and perform all tasks in compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.

Candidates must hold a valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Millwright certification or be an apprentice nearing completion. Strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work flexible shifts are required.
