Our office offers a positive, collaborative work environment where patient care and personal development are at the forefront. *Position Overview:* As a Registered Dental Assistant II, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental team in providing exceptional care to our patients. You will work closely with our dentists to assist with various dental procedures and ensure the smooth operation of the practice. *Key Responsibilities:* * Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canals, and more * Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment * Take and process dental X-rays * Ensure patients feel comfortable and well-informed about their dental treatments * Maintain accurate patient records and charts * Provide oral health education and post-treatment instructions to patients * Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring all materials are properly stocked * Comply with all health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols *Qualifications:* * Must be a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Alberta * Active registration and license with the Alberta Dental Assistants Association * Experience working as a dental assistant is preferred * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment * A caring and compassionate attitude towards patients * Experience with Dentrix practice management software *What We Offer:* * Competitive salary based on experience * Comprehensive benefits package (including health, dental, and vision) * Supportive and team-oriented work culture *Schedule:* * Monday 11:30-3:30 (4 hrs) - (optional shift) * Tuesday 11:30-6pm (6.5 hours+30min break) * Wednesday 11:30AM-8PM (8.5 hours + 30min break) * Thursday: 8:00AM/8:30AM-3:30PM ( 7-7.5 hours +30 min break) * NO WEEKENDS * All long weekends off (4 day weekends!) * Scheduled time off (1 week Feb, 2 weeks July) plus any additional time you may need.
