About The Role Reporting to the General Sales Manager, the Online Merchandiser will produce high-quality images of new and used vehicle inventory. A camera, computer equipment as well as photo editing software will be provided. This job is performed outdoors; therefore, the candidate should be resilient to handle all weather conditions. Responsibilities (but Not Limited To) Capturing, staging, editing, and posting new and used inventory on a daily basis. This includes using the proper focus, exposure, framing, and lighting to ensure high- quality photos. Ensure inventory photos are taken as per the parameters set out by the dealership, including the specific angles and vehicle location on the lot. Working closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist or General Sales Manager to identify the vehicles that need to be captured and to make sure the vehicles needed for shooting are washed and detailed. Vehicles must be clean and clear of snow, ice and dirt before photos are taken. Reporting daily and weekly activity to the General Sales Manager to make sure all vehicles have been captured and posted to the dealership’s website. Posting and keeping a record of all inventory photos on Dropbox so they are readily available for when we need to refer back to them. Participating in other photography work at the dealership as needed Crafting engaging descriptions for pre-owned vehicles to post on company website Additional duties and tasks as required Qualifications Automotive photography experience is considered an asset but not required. Videography experience is considered an asset but not required. Proficiency in the use of a comprehensive range of camera and photography equipment including DSLR, mobile phone cameras, lenses, filters, and lighting equipment. Strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple vehicles, upload photos to the website in a timely manner and maintain a large database of the inventory photos. Requirements A valid Driver's License and a clean abstract is required.
