As an Account Manager on our sales team, you'll play a key role in expanding our presence across both new and existing markets. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for actively developing your territory by building strong relationships, identifying and pursuing new growth opportunities, and helping clients discover the Yokohama products that best support their success. As a true ambassador of our brand, you will actively contribute to sales growth by presenting tailored solutions, understanding customer needs, and supporting clients throughout their journey—ensuring they feel confident and well-supported in choosing us. Key Responsibilities Build and nurture strong relationships with current and prospective customers, actively growing our presence within your territory. Act as a trusted point of contact—resolving issues, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborate closely with teams across sales, marketing, distribution, technical services, and accounting to deliver seamless solutions. Lead engaging product knowledge sessions for customers to help them make informed decisions. Represent Yokohama at trade shows and conventions, actively generating leads and new business opportunities. Analyze customer potential and proactively identify and pursue new opportunities for growth. Strategically plan your time and priorities to maximize results across your territory. Forecast tire needs in your area to align with demand and business goals. Stay up to date on industry trends, product innovations, as well as competitive and industry activities. Drive new business through proactive outreach, prospecting, and lead generation activities. Support the resolution process for tire warranty claims, ensuring clear communication and customer care. Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts to management. Skills Strong business development mindset (“hunter”), with a proven ability to generate new opportunities and turn prospects into clients Natural talent for prospecting, presenting, and closing—plus a passion for sharing knowledge through training Solid understanding of how businesses operate and how to support customer success Strong awareness of customer needs and market dynamics, with a proactive mindset Excellent communication skills—clear, confident, and collaborative, with strong written and spoken English Outstanding time management, planning, and organizational abilities Strong negotiation and influencing skills that create win-win outcomes A blend of leadership and teamwork—comfortable taking initiative and working closely with others Creative problem-solving skills and a solution-focused attitude Attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Comfort with technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software A collaborative, team-oriented mindset—you thrive on collective success Willingness to travel throughout Eastern Ontario to build and maintain strong customer relationships A results-driven mindset with a proven track record of achieving targets Passion for the automotive industry Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving environment Qualifications and Assets College diploma or degree in a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, including supplier relationship management Knowledge of the tire industry (a strong asset) Experience in the automotive, transportation, or retail industry Working conditions Willingness to travel across Eastern Ontario. This role is primarily field-based and requires regular travel to meet clients, drive business development, and maintain strong customer relationships. Flexible working hours within a Monday to Friday daytime schedule, with occasional adjustments based on customer needs or specific sales initiatives.
